Food Corner: Limone

It was a rainy Sunday morning when we started our second day of food crawl last July 21-22. That's two days of full tummies and happy hearts. We gained new friends and experienced new food during the event. It was at Limone where we started fresh new memories of food and laughter.

The vibe inside gives the feel of being in the Mediterranean countries. I haven't been in one but this place will surely make you go to places.

Eating at Limone is like visiting all the Mediterranean countries because every dish has its own story to tell. What great at Limone is that most of their food are home made like their homemade sauces, breads and house blend iced tea.

Chicken Gyro - a traditional Greek dish with traditional meat and potatoes inside. Others restaurants don't put potatoes in theirs. Ingredients are wrapped inside their own pita bread. Served with two sauces, the regular sauce and the spicy one.

Beef Kebab with dip - this was served hanging in a food tree (I don't know how it's called) Anyway, this was served with hummus and pita plus their own eggplant dip and two sauces.

Seafood Marinara - Now we're in Italy and this Italian pasta was served with
fresh ingredients and served with their own homemade bread. They're very generous on those seafood.

Hummus with Pita Bread - this is a Mediterranean appetizer made from chick peas. This is what most people are looking for in Mediterranean restaurants.

Moroccan Chie Tagine - now we are in Morocco! Tagine is like a vessel where you can cook the food where the flavors are deeply penetrated. This container is like a steamer because it steam all the flavors inside. The flavor of this dish is the traditional Moroccan because they use their Moroccan spices.

... and of course, no food crawl is complete without... DESSERTS!

Salted Caramel Turtle Pie - my personal favorite! This has a well blend of caramel and chocolate which I love!

Banoffee Pie - this is one of the desserts they are proud of! This is at par on those Banoffee Pie at dessert cafes.

Overall, our Limone experience was truly one of a kind. We get to explore the Mediterranean through food and the best part of it was it was celebrated with true and new friends.

Limone is located at the Nepo Quad.

Much Love, Mommy ❤
